Word to the wise....

No college letters today. However; I did schedule a date to go visit Utica College next month. (Don't worry, I'll definitely keep ya'll posted on that.) So far, today was a chill day. Did most of my math homework, watched TV, talked on the phone, texted, cleaned the bathroom and washed the dishes. Unfortunately, my chill day was ruined by a disappointing notification from UArts (University of the Arts) in Philadelphia. Apparently they haven't received my SAT scores that my counselor faxed to them last Friday. EEERRRRRRR! This college process is so fucking frustrating. Although they have my ACT scores, which are shit, I wanted them to have my SAT scores, which aren't any better. Lol. The point is that when someone says they are going to do something, I expect them to do it. And since I know my counselor did send my SAT scores, if the college has misplaced my scores, I wish they would say that instead of making it seem like me and my counselor aren't doing our job! Or perhaps I texted her the wrong fax #... I hope not...

So, to give me peace of mind, I'm going to ask my mom to fax my SAT scores to the college from her job tomorrow. Hopefully, my mother's boss will have sympathy on this poor little black girl trying to go to college.

Word to the wise for all my readers out there (if there are any readers)
Do not apply to more colleges than you can handle. I applied to about 20 colleges. I will NEVER (knock on wood) do that again. However; applying to so many colleges taught me more about myself, I don't like stress and I like to be in control of a situation. All the colleges are stressing me out, I feel totally out of control since I don't know where I'm going to college yet, nor know if all my colleges have received my stuff!!!! So now I have to call the rest of my colleges tomorrow and see what my status is... GREAT!!!!! (Sigh) There aren't enough hours in the day and too little hours for admissions offices to be closed. I mean, I know these admissions people have lives to, but with busy, stressed out teens like me, their offices need to be open until 6pm or 7pm instead of 5pm. But that's just me.

I have to put my bathroom back together, try to finish my ALG 2 Vacation packet, and make myself some hamburger pasta. (YUM!!!)
