Praise yourself!!!

Afternoon fellow bloggers!!! :-D

Three letters came for me today; Financial Aid Package from Oswego (Guess I got accepted ;-)), Delta Sigma Theta Scholarship status, and a brochure from the College of Westchester. Financial Aid Package from Oswego is okay. They're willing to give me $19,726 consisting of 6 grants and 3 loans. The problem is that it's only good through 2010-2011; not all four years. It doesn't say anything about it being renewable either. Thankfully, Utica College is offering me over 14,000 in scholarships for all 4 years as long as I keep a minimum of a 2.5 so I'm pretty happy with that. But of course, I have to see what other colleges accept me and how much they are willing to give me in financial aid. It's like shopping at the mall/Strip Mall or in my case, my local bodega for my favorite cookies!! :-D You gotta see who has the better deals and who can give you more for your money. It's like your setting a standard for your future; you want the best of the best. (If only we could apply this method to other areas of our lives) Wink, wink, hint, hint.

Delta Sigma Theta regretfully informed me that they couldn't give me money for a scholarship due to their huge applicant pool. BUT they have confidence that I will do well in school... Thanks :-/ First Sigma Gamma Rho denied me a scholarship, now Delta... It's a conspiracy I tell you!!!! Lol. On a more positive note however, I'll be happy for whoever gets one or both of those scholarships. At least I have $5,000 of free money for a year thanks to the Lanza Family Foundation Scholarship. Now I just have to hope and pray that I get other scholarships and continue to be on my grind in applying for more.

Now, I didn't apply to the College of Westchester and I believe I spoke to one of their representatives about my lack of interest in their college. But apparently, they’re still holding on to hope. I don't want to go to a two year school and they don't have many majors to choose from; besides, their too close to home. For anyone that is interested in pulling up their grades so they can go to the school of their dreams, I recommend the College of Westchester. If you can, do some research on it and see if it’s the right fit for you. Or, if you know more about the College of Westchester and would like to share, drop a comment .
Bloggers, what colleges have accepted you so far? What scholarships have you received? Here's your moment to show off your achievements and brag without anyone calling you conceited or full of yourself. Leave all the comments you want and praise yourself all you want. You deserve it!

For the bloggers who have already been through college, tell us about your college and give some info about it. Who knows? This bit of information can spark someone to take the next step to go to college.

Well, I should start on my homework before the itious kicks in. Just had me some hamburger pasta and it's sitting in my gut trying to make me fall asleep.

While I'm trying to fight laziness, be blessed and make sure your legacy is like no other…
