OMG, Another rejection
So, I wake up this morning at 8:30 am to rehearse for a skit I'm doing at my church this up coming Friday. My mom texts me midway in rehearsal saying that I have a letter from Ithaca college and Queens College... now, I have already been rejected from Drexel University, Howard University (The Real HU:-/), Lehman College, and SUNY PURCHASE. Since Fordham University didn't recieve my SAT scores in time, they rejected me as well. Mind you, my counselor said she faxed them twice to the university... (sigh) I've also been wait listed for Quinnipac University and Ithaca College. Granted, I've applied to about 20 colleges, but these schools shouldn't be rejecting me left and right like this. I mean, I've been on the honor roll since 9th grade, I have great community service and extra curricular activities on my resume', and some bomb-ass letters of recommendation! Smh, Idk what's going on with these colleges man. But I have to look at some of these rejections as blessings in deguise, take Howard for instants, their students receive little to no financial aid. One of my friends, who will remain nameless, also informed me that when he visited Howard there were students who were sleeping outside, fighting for dorms.... Wtf! I know not all HBCU's are like that but wow, thank God I didn't get accepted into Howard. Besides, God will put me where he wants me to be. At least I got accepted into Utica College, which I am going to visit very soon. Well, I'll keep ya'll posted. I gotta go eat supper. In the meantime, fill free to comment about my post or vent on the schools that rejected you. But keep in mind that with every rejection, there is at least one acceptance. Be blessed and make sure your Legacy is like no other....

I've gotten rejected by 4 of the 13? schools (I can never remember how many I've applied to) and on top of that FAFSA claim my stuff is...incomplete :( But like you say, this can all be blessings in disguise. No matter what we will make it in life no matter what school we go to :D
True dat homie. True dat!! :-D
